How I work

One messy process. One working system.

I take one operational workflow and turn it into a working system, with an exception path, human controls and a clean handoff.

You work with me, Kyle Kane, directly. Every engagement gets a written scope agreed before work starts.

Eight steps, in order

  1. DiagnoseI listen to how work actually moves, not the process diagram on the wall.
  2. MapI document every handoff, exception and place where information gets lost.
  3. DesignI specify intake, routing, human controls and the exception queue before writing code.
  4. BuildI ship the workflow with real operational UI, not a chatbot wrapper.
  5. TestI run it against real scenarios, including the ones that break.
  6. Handle exceptionsI design what happens when data is missing, ambiguous or wrong, before go-live.
  7. DocumentI leave runbooks your team can follow without me in the room.
  8. HandoffI transfer ownership with evidence, not a slide deck.

The Operational AI Workflow Sprint

What you get

One operational workflow, intake through handoff. Exception path designed and built. Operational UI your team can run. Documentation and a handoff session.

Timeline

Typical scope is 1–2 weeks.

Problems I take on

Request intake and routing. Document and receipt matching. Maintenance work orders. Exception-heavy month-end close.

What I don’t do

Generic chatbot installs. AI strategy decks with no system behind them. Tool lists without operational behavior.

See the work

LedgerLens (receipt reconciliation workflow design), MaintenEase (live CMMS) and the service request demo show this method applied.
